Breaking Innocence

As human animals, we are bound by our visceral yearning for a combination of sexual pain and pleasure, as well as by societal pressures to control and restrain our sexual instincts. “Breaking Innocence” embodies this dichotomy by juxtaposing the heads of otherwise innocent and asexual white bunnies with bound, nude human torsos. The resulting “bunnies” are no longer so innocent or pure, but rather lustful and illicit. The ties and ropes are a tool to restrain our deepest sexual urges, while at the same time standing as evidence of their very existence.
